Biography
Dr. Chrystine Mitchell received her Ph.D. in Reading Education from University of Maryland. Since that time she has been teaching pedagogy courses for early childhood education majors, first at Penn State Berks and then York College of Pennsylvania. Her research interests include the integration of 21st century teaching practices and culturally sustaining teaching pedagogy. She also continues to explore how to build community partnerships where teacher candidates can apply their classroom understandings in authentic settings where they can be part of the community where they live.
