Biography
Dr. Weiner grew up in Delaware County before earning his BA from Vassar College and his Ph.D. from Louisiana State University. His research interests are in graph theory, especially hypergraphs and Ramsey-type problems. Dr. Weiner aims to provide a safe and comfortable environment in which his students can learn mathematics. He emphasizes discussion-based learning, and encourages his students to focus less on rote memorization than on the logic underpinning mathematics. When he is not doing math, Dr. Weiner enjoys reading, crocheting, and watching sports.
